Salary Structure`
The Springdale Police Department salary structure is competitive with neighboring police agencies and is higher than the state average. The basic structure begins at a starting salary of $28,560 with a minimum requirement of an Associate’s degree for employment (we will consider a combination of education, military, and other relevant experience in place of a college degree). From that starting point, an increase of 5% is gained for each non-executive category promotion to Private First Class, Corporal, or Sergeant. Promotion from the non-executive rank category to the executive rank category of Lieutenant will have a one time 10% step increase. Thereafter, remaining promotion categories of Captain and Major will be 5%. The annual structure is as follows:

Finally, the Springdale Police Department issues (take home) a fully equipment police package Ford Crown Victoria or police package Dodge Intrepid to all officers.  All our vehicles are installed with the following equipment: roll bar safety screen, “Mobile Vision” in-car video system, “Stalker” two antenna radar system, and a built-in Global Positioning System.
